Matthew Hilton (born 1957) is a British designer of modern furniture and lighting. He trained at Portsmouth College of Art and then at Kingston Polytechnic, graduating in 1979. Matthew Hilton is a renowned British designer whose eponymous product line embodies the technical expertise and clear vision he has acquired over thirty years in the industry. Matthew Hilton designs timelessly beautiful, highly functional products that are carefully considered and utilize durable materials that become more beautiful with age. Hilton's furniture is in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Geffrye Museum in London, and the Manchester City Art Gallery.
