"The more you honor me, the more I will bless you." - Inscription traditionally associated with the Infant Jesus of Prague

With golden curls, a regal crown, and a blessing hand extended in quiet majesty, this vintage statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague exudes a serene devotion. This piece of chalk stands a whopping 62 cm (24.4 inches) tall and weighs 5.5 kg (12 lbs). It likely dates from the 1950s or 1970s, marked G.F.15 on the back. It is likely of Belgian origin.

This image follows the traditional iconography of the Holy Child King:
Crowned and dressed in royal robes
Right hand raised in blessing
Left hand holding a blue-gold sphere, symbol of Christ's rule over the world
Necklace with Sacred Heart and cross pendant

Hand-painted in soft peach, red, gold and turquoise, the statue is clearly crafted with reverence and, despite signs of age and dedication, retains much of its original character.
