Lebber vintage® - Phrenology head | XL | L.N. Fowler | Medical study, London. 32 cm high.

*** 32 cm high ***

This item is both decorative and educational. It depicts the various regions of our brain, as studied by Lorenzo Niles Fowler in the 19th century. This is a modern replica of the original phrenology heads he designed in the past. Made of ceramic. In perfect condition, 32 cm high. It features one of his famous quotes on the back: 'For thirty years I have studied the skulls and living heads from all over the world, and have found in every instance that there is a perfect correspondence between the shape of the healthy skull of an individual and his known features. To make my observations available, I have prepared a bust of superior form and marked the distributions of the organs in accordance with my investigations and varied experience.' L. N. Fowler
