Butler's tray dates back to the 18th century and was commonly used by butlers in affluent households to serve food and drinks. They can be used in a variety of settings including living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and patios. Butlers tray tables are often used as decorative accent pieces, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to a room. This mahogany butler's table was produced by Brandt Furniture Co, founded in the early 20th century. The tray has handles on all four sides and adjustable raised edges to prevent items from sliding off. As well as metal hinge accents. The company's roots date back to Hagerstown, Maryland. Butlers Brandt coffee tables were mostly made from the 1940s to the 1970s.
