This is an authentic vintage find, estimated to have been manufactured in the 1930s-1940s.
It is said that this hat was originally designed for and worn by coachmen in the Victorian/Edwardian era; this hat appears to be a later rendition of the original design, remade for formal men's wear, worn by the upper class.
